Name: Bill Bushing Gender: Male Birthday: 6/11/1947 (Age: 65) Location: Avalon, CA, United States About Me I am a research scientist (kelp forest ecologist) who studies the persistence of giant kelp beds using satellite imagery and GIS. Since sitting in the lab in front of a computer is pretty boring stuff, I am also an underwater videographer and educator. While wearing this hat I produce educational underwater videos about marine ecology, primarily in the kelp forest; write a weekly newspaper column also available on my website. I am also in search of the perfect "dive buddy..." a woman who is intelligent, personable, humorous, drop dead gorgeous (or a reasonable facsimile), passionate about diving (underwater image making a plus), preferably dark-haired and slender and, most importantly, filthy rich so she can fund my global dive travel needs. Just teasing. I live on Catalina Island and have been diving since the winter of 1961-62, so I'm an "Old Guy" (who Rules!) which may scare off the young lovelies. However my age is often guessed at mid-30's due to the long-term therapeutic effects of SCUBA (cardiovascular and muscular), salt water (cosmetic) and "stress-free" island living! Now, if you believe all that... you'll "read on." | The humorous and fascinating exploits of a marine biologist and underwater videographer in the "other 70%" of the globe. At least that's my story. | |
